There are many interesting places in India where you can explore in the best way. The different popular attractions and travel destinations are recognized by the India Today Tourism Awards 2019 in a range of categories. This time several urban locations have been selected from all corners of India. Also, the Editor’s Choice award has been introduced as well. So, let us have a look at the different travel destinations.

Chadar Trek Ladakh, Jammu, and Kashmir (Best adventure destination)

It is to be noted that there are more hotels in the South where you can also find the beach to be quite clean as well. The best beach is the Palolem beach which is located in Southern Goa. You can also enjoy lots of different and exciting activities as well that would never disappoint you at all. There are swaying palm trees that make it look more beautiful in the right manner. So, you should not miss this interesting place that would prove to be a memorable one.

How to get there?: You can find that there are two railways stations which are located near Palolem. The Konkan rail line services the Margao station and is at a distance of 40 minutes away and the other is Canacona station which happens to be a  10 minutes drive. You can also take a flight to Goa’s Dabolim airport which is located 90 minutes away from Palolem.  After getting down at the airport, you need to take a local taxi.

Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park, Jodhpur (Best heritage destination): Another must-visit attraction in Jodhpur is the Mehrangarh Fort. You would be able to enjoy the volcanic rocks. Although the park was started in the year 2006, it was open to the public in 2011. So, it can prove to be one of the most exciting adventures where you never have to find any dull moment at all. You can also try to make your visit to Singhoria Pol where tourists find this place quite interesting and beautiful. The Geological Survey of India has declared the Jodhpur Welded Tuff as a National Geological Monument.

Gulmarg Jammu and Kashmir (Best mountain destination) If you are looking forward to the best winter sports hub of India, then Gulmarg can be the best choice for you. CNN has rated Gulmarg as the 7th best skiing destination in Asia.  Thousands of tourists are attracted to this beautiful place. You can try to look forward to visiting different attractions such as Gulmarg Gondola, Maharani Temple including St. Mary’s Church. You can also try to witness the breathtaking Nanga Parbat that would definitely prove to be quite exciting. The best place to visit is during the winter.

How to get there?: Jammu and Srinagar is the nearest airport where you can get taxis from Srinagar where you can reach Gulmarg in 2 hours.

Gir National Park Gujarat (Best wildlife destination): If you are willing to enjoy the best wildlife destination, then you can try to look forward to Gir National Park in Gujarat. It is spread over 1,153 sq km where the Gir National Parl comprises around 259 sq km. You can get to see fox, four-horned antelope, mugger crocodile and so on. It is also possible to find a black-naped blue flycatcher. Crested hawk-eagle, Indian pitta, and others can be witnessed as well. You can also opt for the lion safaris when you visit between October and June. However, during the breeding season, this park is closed to visitors.

How to get there?: Junagadh is the nearest railway station where the closest airport is Rajkot. It takes around 5 hours to reach the sanctuary by taxi.

Kumbh Mela, Uttar Pradesh (Best festival destination):  Being the world’s largest public gathering, the Kumbh Mela was inscribed at the intangible cultural heritage in the UNESCO. By mid-February, the festival is visited by a total of 150 million people.

How to get there?:  You can try to look forward to visiting Prayagraj which is connected by railways to all major cities.

Golden Temple Amritsar (Best Spiritual Destination): The star attraction of Amritsar is the Golden Temple.  It was in the year 1830 that gold was donated by Maharaja Ranjit Singh to overlay the sanctum. In the night, you can find that the Golden Temple gets the best look with perfect lighting.

How to get there?: Railways and road networks are linked to Amritsar where you do not find any sort of problem at all.

Srinagar-Leh Jammu and Kashmir (Most scenic road) You can enjoy the best and pleasant journey when you look forward to the mesmerizing Leh to Srinagar drive. There are no traffic jams because of the new alignment. You can also enjoy the spectacular scenery with the pleasant sound of gurgling water.
