Article 370 May Brings in Positive Effects Over 130 Urban Seats in the Upcoming Maharashtra Assemble Polls

Highlights

  • The BJP leaders think that Article 370 may come up with positive effects and this would be applicable in over 132 seats in urban areas among 288 assemble constituencies all over the state.
  • The party is consulting with two big ad agencies in order to carry out the agenda in a flawless way. In this way, the Maharashtra election is bringing in all-new facts.

Mumbai: BJP plans to start the ‘nation First’ campaign where Article 370 would be the main highlight. Along with Article 370, triple talaq also comes up as the key feature of the agenda. Also, CM Devendra Fadnavis’s development-oriented spell of five years plays an important role in the Maharashtra election polls. The party is speaking with two reputed ad agencies and it’s the key highlight of the program as sources said on Monday.

The BJP party says that Article 370 would bring in positive effects in the urban areas and about 132 seats may go in favour of the party. There is a total of 288 constituencies and a party strategist says that in the rural areas there are certain issues like water, irrigation etc. and the party needs to take care of all these things.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah reveals at a BJP conclave in the city that Jawaharlal Neheru’s decision to make ‘Jammu and Kashmir a ‘disputed territory’ was a bad decision. Sheikh Abdullah’s regime captivated Dr.Syama Prasad Mookerjee and he dies inside the prison. BJP’s decision of nullifying Kashmir is a step to include the state within India and he says that it shows ‘patriotism’.

On the other hand, the opposition party is paying more attention to price hike and drought rather than patriotism. Supriya Sule, NCP MP asks for the reason, why BJP is promoting Article 370 to tile the election results in their favour. It looks like Fadnavis is copying from the Modi and Shah’s diary. BJP party thinks that Fadnavis’s regime was not much success at the ground level in terms of attempting agricultural issue controlling the price of essential products in the country.

The opposition points out that BJP has full right to defang Article 370 but the Centre’s continuous intervention in J&K is coming up as a serious concern. We have no contacts with our friends in Jammu and Kashmir and it’s a suffering for us. People are leading a miserable life and Amit Shah needs to talk in this regards.

Aslam Sheikh, a Congress MLA says that Kashmir is a part of India and this decision by BJP is perfect but it’s expected to bring back to democracy and it should not be used by the party as an election agenda.

A bureaucrat says that the issues due to failure in metro projects are being covered by this Article 370. The distractions because of the metro projects are leading to difficulties in pedestrians and motorcyclists. BJP is trying to cover the anti-government sentiment using this patriotism concept.

Certain civil society members are also predicting risk as BJP is making this patriotism as an agenda to impress the voters in Maharashtra. Manisha Tikekar, former head of the Political Science Department at SIES College says that BJP failed to define democracy in our country.
