For the Worli assembly constituency, Aaditya Thackeray, a young leader, and son of Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray filed his nomination on Thursday. His poll affidavit shows that the 29-year -old disclosed complete belongings of Rs 16.05 crore. The assets include seven fixed properties that cost around Rs 4.67 crore. The five properties are gifted by his father in the year 2013. One more is gifted by his mother Rashmi just over a month ago.
As per the information shared, five pieces of farming land value up to Rs 77.66 lakh, situated in Khalapur at Bilawal. On April 8, 2013, an area of approximately one acre, were presented to the Thackeray son by Uddhav through a gift act. One more property, a shop worth Rs 89.40 lakh and calculating 1,250 sq ft in Shreeji Arcade building at Thakurli town in Kalyan, was exceptional by Rashmi Aaditya’s mother on 26 August 2019.
The 7th property added by Aaditya, who explains his job as “business” in the official declaration and affirms he has “no responsibility,” is a ball (shop) and measuring 1,960 sq ft that he shopped on Ghodbunder Road in Ashar Millenia building, Thane. It cost around Rs 3 crore on 11 September 2019.
Despite the permanent properties, Aaditya has added that he owns a vehicle and a BMW car that is registered in the year 2010 and shopped in the year 2019 at a price of Rs 6.5 lakh.
Suresh Mane belongs to Bahujan Republican Socialist Party will stand as an opposition candidate in Worli against Thackeray. Aaditya’s official declaration additional does not state that there is no court case pending to date and not convicted to date.
As far as education is concerned, he has completed his BA from St Xavier’s college in history. He has also completed the LLB from KC College. According to the election official, “Aaditya Thackeray was the first person who has filed his nomination from the constituency from Worli area.”
He is a one and only candidate in the family who is participating in the elections. Neither his father Uddhav nor grandfather Balasaheb Thackeray who was the late founder of the Shiv Sena has contested any elections to date.
